On 15 October 2026, Pablo García Mexía, Legal Counsel to the Spanish Parliament, delivered the opening presentation at the 5th ParlaTIC Congress, held at the Spanish Senate on 15–16 October under the theme “The Challenges of Applying Artificial Intelligence in Parliaments”.
His presentation, entitled “Guidelines for the Use of AI in the Spanish Senate: General Context and Main Principles”, focused on the general context and main guidelines governing the use of artificial intelligence within the Spanish Senate.
The Congress brought together information technology, communications and audiovisual professionals from Spanish parliamentary institutions to exchange knowledge, experiences and projects related to technological transformation in parliaments.
