Pablo García Mexía recently appeared on Onda Cero to discuss the main conclusions of the conference held on February 27 at the Autonomous University of Madrid, which focused on the intersection between artificial intelligence and the fundamental right to data protection.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Culture of Peace Foundation, addressed one of the key issues of the moment: how to reconcile the advancement of Artificial Intelligence with the effective guarantee of fundamental rights.
During his remarks, García Mexía emphasized that the debate surrounding AI is no longer exclusively technical; it has become a legal and institutional issue deeply linked to democratic quality.
Furthermore, in his capacity as co-director of the Specialization Diploma in Data Protection, Digital Society, and Artificial Intelligence at the Autonomous University of Madrid, he highlighted the need to foster spaces for reflection and training that allow these challenges to be addressed from a comprehensive perspective.
The presentation is part of the growing interest in analyzing the impact of Artificial Intelligence on fundamental rights and the legal system.
