ICAM 2025 INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT AT CASA DE AMÉRICA IN MADRID

From June 4 to 6, the ICAM 2025 International Summit was held at Casa de América (Madrid), a leading forum that brought together lawyers and experts from Latin America to discuss the major legal, social, and economic challenges of our time.

I had the honor of participating on June 5 in the panel entitled:

“AI, emerging technologies, and data protection in Ibero-America,”

alongside Eduardo Bittar, Elena González-Blanco García, Santiago Mediano, and Ana Buitrago.

In my speech, we reflected on how artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies are transforming data protection and posing regulatory challenges that we must address with responsibility and a humanistic vision to ensure trust and fundamental rights in the digital age.

The Summit also featured an extensive program of debates on the rule of law and governance in Ibero-America, competitiveness and innovation, the future of Ibero-American trade, international arbitration, energy transition, and human rights and immigration, consolidating its position as an essential meeting place.
